·  How did you meet your husband and how did you get engaged? My husband and I met at university as both of us were studying at Tuks. Everyone always told me that you won't find your husband at university but you will find your bridesmaids, however, I was lucky enough to find both.

·  Where did you get married and why did you choose that venue and time of year for your wedding? We got married at Stoorhuijs Venue in Mooinooi on 5 February 2022. We chose this venue as it was a venue that reflected our love for nature and simplicity and elegance. You never have to dress nature up! I would choose this venue over and over again. We chose February because it was the first date that both of us can take leave from work to be able to go on our honeymoon after the wedding and February is also smack-bang in summer which we both love.

·  What was the vibe of your wedding? Our vibe at our wedding was very earthy, with simple elegance but also very casual. We wanted all of our guests to just have a wonderful time with each other and with us. Our venue has a stunning outside lounge area with so many lazy couches and coffee tables that all the guests could have great time on the couches or on the dancefloor. It was a partytjie!

·  How did you hear about The Wedding Collective? I have been following TWC on Instagram for very very long and the day I got engaged I immediately knew I wanted a dress from TWC. I only fitted TWC dresses, I never even went somewhere else from the start.

·  What made you choose your wedding dress? I LOVED the clean lines the dress bodice provided and how it outlines your beautiful body. I also really loved the skirt that was playful, super comfortable and majestic at the same time.

·  How was your wedding dress experience from fittings to the final product? Each fitting was the highlight of this journey for me becoming the most beautiful bride to my husband that I could be. Every fitting gave me more butterflies and excitement for the day my man would see me in this dress and we would start our beautiful life together. In this dress he was going to call me his bride on our wedding day and for every day thereafter. The dress was a massive thing for me

·  Do you have any advice or tips for new brides-to-be looking for their perfect wedding dress? You are beautiful and you are unique, it is not the dress that makes you beautiful, but you that makes the dress light up. However, I think it is very important to feel comfortable and confident in your dress because then it is so easy for your natural beauty to shine through. ALSO, choose what you want. Not anyone else, this is the day that you should shine, not someone else's idea or style, only yours.

·  Who was your wedding photographer? Okay Deer (The BEST!)

·  Any other vendors you would like to recommend to new brides-to-be? Hair and Make-up by Samune', she is really good and very well priced.

·  What was your most memorable part of your wedding day? My most memorable part of our wedding day was our first dance together as Mr & Mrs Potgieter. It was sooooo special I remember it so vividly how our every step was compltely insync. We only got to practice our first dance one day before the wedding so yes I was nervous but, oh my goodness, it was so perfect and I loved every moment of it.

·  Do you have any advice regarding the overall planning of a wedding? If you are anything like me (I hate drama and struggling), my advice to you is to keep it simple, if you love something go with it. We decided to get married at the first venue we visited because we loved the atmosphere it gave. I got my dress from TWC which was the one and only store I visited because I loved their style and creativity. We decided on the colour scheme/palette we thought of first. Also another big thing for us throughout the whole journey was to support locally, and this definitely PAID OFF!! I will highly encourage you to where you can, support local.
